Green Papaya Powder (Conventional)
Green Papaya, also known as Papaw or Tree Melon, is the mature, unripe fruit of the Carica papaya tree. The Papaya is a familiar sight in South India, with an oblong shape, normally greenish yellow, yellow or orange color.
The large fruits weigh up to 2.5 kg, or 5.5 lb. Papaya is a climatic fruit, which will ripen after being picked from the tree at the mature green stage. The papaya is picked while it is still green to retain its natural enzymatic qualities, as these decline in the ripening stages.
Green Papaya Powder contains essential vital nutrients, powerful enzymes, and is a rich source of dietary fiber, vitamins and phytonutrients. The green, unripe fruit is used in curries and salads, and to tenderize meat, while the leaves and root of the plant are also used in a variety of dishes.
