Moringa Seeds (Organic)
Known as ‘The Miracle Tree,’ Moringa oleifera is one of nature’s most nutritious foods. Native to India, Moringa has been advocated as a highly nutritious indigenous source of plant-based protein. The fruit or seed pods of the Moringa oleifera tree are just another useful and nutritive part of this versatile plant. This fruit has been referred to as ‘drumstick tree’ as the long thin pods resemble drumsticks.
The seed kernals have been found to contain all eight essential amino acids (phenylalanine, valine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine, methionine, leucine, and lysine). Moringa Seeds have also been used to treat water on two levels, acting both as a coagulant due to positively charged, water-soluble proteins, which bind with negatively charged particles (silt, clay, bacteria, toxins, etc.) allowing the resulting “flocs” to settle to the bottom to be removed by filtration, as well as an antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial aspects of Moringa continue to be researched. While there is ongoing research being conducted on the nature and characteristics of these components, it is accepted that treatments with Moringa solutions will remove 90-99.9% of the impurities in water.
The PKM1 hybrid variety has the highest productivity with features of the plant including wide and dark green leaves, fruit-bearing (pods) and rapid growth after the first harvest. Moringa PKM1 Seeds contain all the beneficial traits through pure line selection and are the most superior variety of moringa oleifera. This variety has a high immunity against pests and disease and can be grown in various types of soil. Moringa PKM1 seeds were developed in India and have been found to offer a better flavor with a higher yield when compared to other varieties.
